Singer continues to be in the limelight gaining recognition by winning coveted awards. For the second successive year, Singer won two People's Awards for the year 2007. Meanwhile, the Superbrand status won by Singer is valid till 2008. At the SLIM-Nielsen Peoples Awards, Singer was voted the Brand of the Year and the Consumer Durable Brand of the Year. Sri Lanka Institute of Marketing (SLIM) in partnership with the Nielson Company presented the awards under 26 categories at a ceremony held at the Waters Edge on Thursday, July 05, 2007. The Nielsen Company, the leading global and local marketing information service provider was the research provider for People's Awards 2007. The concept of a people's choice award is quite unique and novel, where people are the primary and only source of choosing who the winner is across brands, organizations and personalities. |
